I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering and co-program director for the NUS-TUD Double M.Sc. Degree Programme (DPP) at the National University of Singapore. I received my Ph.D and M.S. degrees from Stanford University in 2012 and 2008, respectively, and my B.S. degree (First-class honors) from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2005. In 2008, I was awarded the Singapore National Research Foundation (EWT) Ph.D scholarship (Overseas).

I am heading the Coastal Waters Lab @ NUS. We are a vibrant group of individuals from diverse backgrounds working together to develop and implement numerical models of coastal oceans, rivers, lakes and estuaries. Our objective is to develop an integrated approach of understanding our environment by combining numerical models with observations, so that we may be able to determine strategies for urban cities to cope with the increasing demands of climate change and anthropogenic influences.
